Indian cricket has always been the focus of cricket fans, with many watching the Indian team from afar.
They love the fact that Indian cricket is supported by the country’s cricketing establishment, who provide them with the best in equipment and coaching.
The ICC’s chief executive, David Richardson, is also in India to promote the tournament.
He told BBC Sport that he is looking forward “to seeing the India team on TV, and of course we’re looking forward too”.
“The world is watching,” Richardson said.
“You know how the players are coming out to bat, so the fans will get a chance to see that.
We’re looking to build the best possible tournament for India and the world.”
The Indian team have been playing in the World Twenty20 earlier this year and Richardson said he expects the team to be ready for the tournament when it returns to India.
“The T20 format has worked well in India and we’re excited to see what it can do with the World Cups,” Richardson told BBC News.
There are plans to bring in cricket stars from other nations for the first time in the tournament, including India’s own Sachin Tendulkar.
Tendulkar has not been a part of the ICC T20s in the past, but he will be in India when the tournament returns to the country in 2021.
